A short-term program, whatever its length, is an intense immersion in Spanish language, and is ideal for students looking to improve their Spanish, gain academic credits, and have a powerful and rewarding cultural experience.
The Centro de Estudios Hispánicos de Segovia offers short-term programs in the summer (3 sessions), and during J-term (interim session).
Summer 1 is a 4-week program beginning each year towards the end of May. This program includes an exciting excursion package, and varied course offerings in Spanish and English. Summers 2 and 3 are Intensive 3-week programs and run consecutively. Despite sharing many elements in common, the programs are not exactly alike, and where the content is different, so is the program cost (For program costs and application deadlines, please follow the link “How do I apply / Application Materials / Program prices and dates”
Summers 2 and 3 are one-week shorter in length than Summer 1, and they do not include an excursion package. For that reason the program cost is significantly lower. Students, however, are free to travel independently on weekends, or optional excursions can be organized for program participants at an additional cost.
Students interested in earning credit for their classes are required to pay a Registration/Transcript fee of $300.00. Transcripts for all classes taken in the CEHS summer programs are issued by our School of Record, Saint Francis College, Brooklyn, NY.”
