INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS:
Summer 2010 Program Dates (Although almost identical, please take a close look at the information describing both summer sessions)
Summer Session I: May 30—June 27
Summer Session II: July 1—July 29
Program Price (Students may take one or two classes in the program. The program price, however, is not lowered because a student chooses to enrol in one rather than two classes.)
Summer Session I: 2,300 euros
Summer Session II: Price to be announced in February, 2010. Summer Session II must have at least 15 students enrolled.
Summer Session I (In this program you will be joining students from Mount St. Mary College, Newburgh, New York, and students from Pace University, NY, NY)
Strong Academic Program:
- 3 Classes offered based on an American University curriculum (students may take one or two classes, but the program price remains the same)
- All classes taught in Spanish
- Choice of taking classes for credit or not-for-credit
- U.S. grading system with credits granted through Mount Saint Mary College, NY
- One class is taught by Pace University faculty, another class is taught by Mt. St. Mary College faculty, and one class is taught by the director of the Centro de Estudios Hispánicos de Segovia, all of whom have outstanding credentials and ample experience teaching American students
Immersion in the Spanish Language:
- All students live with Spanish families
- All classes taught in Spanish
- Language exchanges (intercambios) with Spanish college students
- Film viewings at the Centro with Spanish college students
- Participate in other activities: dance classes, cooking classes, gym, swimming, hiking trips in the surrounding mountains
Tremendous Excursion Package:
- 4 days in Barcelona
- Weekend in Madrid
- 3 one-day excursions (El Escorial/Valle de los Caídos, Toledo, La Granja de San Ildefonso/Real Fábrica de Cristales)
- Visits within your beautiful host city (Alcázar, Acueducto, Catedral, Romanesque Segovia, Jewish Quarter & cemetery, Esteban Vicente Museum, and more

- Advanced Spanish Communication
- Spanish Civilization and Culture
The Centro de Estudios Hispánicos de Segovia (CEHS):
- On-Site Program Director
- Modern classrooms
- Computer lab with high-speed internet connection—unlimited access
- All of the CEHS is wireless for students who bring their own laptops
- A great place to hang out, watch a movie, meet your intercambio
- Book, DVD, CD library—free borrowing privileges
